Mums and dads have until the end of the month to get their application forms in to their catchment primary school listing their top three school choices.
You’ll get a letter back from the school in January confirming whether your child has got a place.
If a school is oversubscribed Education give priority to children who:
-
have a Special Educational Need and must access a specific school
-
have a brother or sister in the school (reception – Y5)
-
are living in the primary school catchment area
-
are living in the secondary school catchment area
-
have a brother or sister in the school (Y6)
-
have other requests supported by a good educational reason for attending a non-catchment school
You can check out the map of catchment schools here and if you haven’t already registered you can find an application form here.
Parents won’t be offered a place in a States’ primary school if they have registered for a place in a fee-paying school.
