The colourful illuminations event returns tonight and will run every evening from 1800 to 21:00 until 17 February, with the special ‘quiet night’ to be held on 18 February.
The aim of the project is to provide an “opportunity to learn more about Jersey’s trees and the scientific research that shows how trees communicate, share resources and react to the world around them using underground connections known as the ‘wood wide web’”, organisers say.
As with last year, a bespoke soundscape, including music and special sound effects, as also been created to accompany the lights.
However, in an attempt to make the event more inclusive than ever, this year there will also be a special ‘quieter night’ for neurodiverse guests to enjoy the illuminations.
Lasting two hours from 18:00 to 20:00 on Sunday 18 February, the music and background noise will be switched off and the number of visitors will be limited.
Tickets are free but must be booked online here in order to control the flow of visitors.
