Centenier Battrick tendered his resignation on 29 June. He was a long-serving member the parish honorary force but had recently been sworn in as Chef de Police.
The parish said they were unable to comment on the resignation.
It is understood that an existing Centenier has agreed to step up to become Chef de Police.
The election will be taking place on Wednesday 24 August.
The new Centenier to replace Mr Battrick will be sworn in by the Royal Court on Friday 26 August.
