Enforcement action against them was taken following co-ordination between the Police, Jersey Customs and Immigration Service and the Business Hub Compliance Unit.
Islanders are now being encouraged to report suspicious door-to-door activity.

“This is a fantastic example of inter-agency working and a fast response to an illegal situation that could have put the public in danger,” Chief Minister Deputy Kristina Moore commented.
“It is a good reminder for traders of all types to have the correct business licence to operate in Jersey before carrying work on the Island, otherwise they will be liable to enforcement action.”
The public are being encouraged to report any suspicions about persons offering door-to-door goods or services to the Business Hub.
What is a hawker’s licence?
Hawkers licences – which are rarely issued – give permission to individual who come to Jersey to conduct door-to-door sales.
A hawker’s license will contain a photograph of the person to whom it has been issued.
Islanders are able to request sight of this licence from a hawker.
