Catherine Richards popped into the Express podcast studio during her first visit back to the island since all episodes of the series have aired.

The 30-year-old dental nurse, who worked at Jersey surgery Bracken Barrett, was scouted via social media and asked to appear on the show last year.

The 11-episode inaugural UK season of Love is Blind is designed as a social experiment, where groups of singles go on dates with people without knowing what they look like.

By meeting in specially-designed “pods”, the participants cannot see who they are talking to and attempt to form deep connections without any sense of physical attraction.

If they form a bond, the couples get engaged (still without seeing one another!) before moving in together to decide if they want to take the relationship forward.

The show ends with each couple at the alter, deciding whether or not to get married.

The Love is Blind UK premiere debuted on Netflix on 7 August, with several more episodes arriving on 14 August.

The season 1 finale hit the streaming platform on Wednesday 21 August – which means that Catherine can finally share what has happened since the show ended.
