GALLERY: Jersey remembers 77th anniversary of D-day

Four veterans – Bill Reynolds, Richard Wraight, Ernest Thorne and Harry Fenn – joined island dignitaries for a special service at the Cenotaph on Sunday morning.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton, and Lady Dalton joined the Bailiff Timothy Le Cocq, Chief Minister Senator John Le Fondré, the Very Reverend Mike Keirle and Constable of St. Helier Simon Crowcroft for the service.

Today we commemorate the 77th anniversary of D-day. We should remember the unprecedented courage and determination of all those who undertook to liberate occupied Europe and whose sacrifice led to the eventual allied victory. #DDay77pic.twitter.com/41TXH6TPEj
