Fans of Gilbert O’Sullivan will have to wait another month to see him live on stage after his debut Jersey shows were postponed due to illness.
The Irish singer-songwriter, who lives in Jersey, was scheduled to perform two shows at Opera House on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 December but the concerts have been moved to January.
In a statement, Mr O’Sullivan said he was “very saddened” to have to reschedule his debut Jersey shows.
“I’ve come down with laryngitis, which has left me with no voice, and it will take me a while to recover before I can sing again,” he explained.
“Letting you all down and with such short notice is something that I hate doing but when it comes to my health it is completely out of my control.
“Having never played Jersey before, these shows were very important to me and I have really been looking forward to them.”
All tickets will automatically be transferred to the new rescheduled dates of 28 and 29 January 2026.
Mr O’Sullivan added: “I look forward to seeing you all very soon in 2026 for what I’m sure will be two very special nights in the place I call home.”
Ticket holders who cannot make the rescheduled dates can contact the Opera House box office at boxoffice@jerseyoperahouse.co.uk.
The Jersey Opera House assures all affected islanders that they will be contacted directly with further details.
