Coastal foraging, sunset storytelling and ocean yoga are just some of the events taking place in Jersey this week as part of a global initiative celebrating the ocean and inspiring action to protect it.

This year’s World Ocean Week takes place from Sunday 1 June to Sunday 8 June.

Local charity Ocean Culture Life is hosting a variety of events across the week in partnership with Mourant and Jersey Community Foundation.

Ocean advocates from around the world will be visiting the island this week, including South Africa’s first Black female freediving instructor Zandile Ndhlovu.
