The Jersey Old Motor Club has released a map setting out the rough timings for its 56th ‘Boxing Day Run’ and is encouraging islanders to come out to watch the event tomorrow.
Around 70 vehicles are expected to take part in this year’s cavalcade, which will see festively-decorated vintage cars driven past all 12 parish churches.
The group will be gathering at the Esplanade from 9am for a 10am departure towards the first church on the route, St Lawrence (see map of approximate route timings below).
Jersey Old Motor Club president Joan Gardner described the Boxing Day Run as “one of our bigger events”.
“We get so many people coming out to wave us on our way,” she added. “It’s a lovely atmosphere – it’s fun.”
She noted that this year would also involve a “regroup” stop at Strive in St Peter, to help ensure the cars stayed together over the course of the event.
