An event to celebrate and support professional carers in Jersey is due to take place later this week.
Jersey Professional Carers Day will take place on Friday 26 September.
The half-day workshop aims to bring together carers, sector leaders, and partner organisations to celebrate the care community within the island.
This year’s event focuses on innovation, trust, and collaboration and will feature a diverse line up of speakers, including:
- Beth Gicquel from Cambrette Care: Welcome and why celebrating professional care matters
- Carly Rochester from ME Passport: Carers skills passport preview
- Adam Chamberlain from Orchid Connect: Improving care standards with digital tools
- Paul Byrne from Propel Fwd Ltd: Protecting people’s privacy and why data protection matters in care
- Jo Poynter from Government of Jersey: Local insight on Jersey’s care landscape
- Dominic Headley from DHA: Safe, fair and inclusive recruitment practises in the care sector
- Gary Hedgecock from Christies Care: The difference carer support can make
Jersey Professional Carers Day organiser Beth Gicquel said: “Professional carers are at the heart of Jersey’s community, and this day is about shinning a light on their skill, dedication, and impact.
“We’ve shaped this year’s workshop to provide practical insights, as well as moments to reflect, connect, and celebrate together.
“With such an inspiring line-up of speakers, we’re confident Jersey Professional Carers Day 2025 will empower carers to feel valued and supported in their roles.”
The event will be held at The Club Hotel & Spa. Tickets can be purchased here.
