Vincent Charles Roberts was convicted of eight counts of committing sexual offences while in a relationship of care, relating to prohibited acts with someone suffering from a mental disorder, following a trial in February.

He is due to be sentenced by the Superior Number of the Royal Court – which only convenes for the most serious cases – on 12 June.

Roberts was remanded on bail.
