Andium Homes delivered a record number of properties last year and significantly cut waiting times for social housing, according to its latest annual report.

The island’s largest social housing provider completed 363 new homes during the year and created 583 new tenancies, marking the highest level of activity in its history.

Express took a look at the key figures…

Andium supported 154 first-time buyers into home ownership, with around £13 million in deferred purchase assistance helping Islanders onto the property ladder.

Major refurbishments were completed on 21 homes, whilst around 84% of priority applicants were housed within 12 months – a marked improvement on five years ago, when many people faced waits of more than three years.

The organisation now manages 5,135 homes across the island, providing accommodation to over 10,000 islanders.

Its property portfolio is valued at approximately £1.4 billion. The social housing provider spent £97 million on capital projects last year, alongside a further £18.1 million invested in maintaining and improving existing homes.

Andium rental income reached £70 million, while £28.7 million was returned to the Government of Jersey.

The organisation delivered 45 community engagement activities during the year and invested £1 million into community initiatives. It also provided 75 rooms to support homeless charities.

Customer satisfaction stood at 78%, slightly below the 80% target, and rent arrears were marginally above expectations.

However, all homes met the UK Decent Homes Standard, with 99% of reactive repairs completed within target times.

Average re-let times were just over 23 days, with Andium entering 2026 with 527 homes under construction or in contract.
