‘Tiny Seeds’, which was set up in 2020 by mum Chloé Fosse, who has personal experience of infertility, originally planned to raise £1,500 but has so far raised just over £2,000.
The fast-growing group and has quickly developed a “caring community of people ready and willing to support those facing the very many challenges that infertility brings” and Chloé says it is busier than she could have ever imagined.
The number of members, which currently stands at 100 in the private and confidential online support group, is growing by the week, while support meetings are organised regularly in person, or online, when restrictions require.
The group is also facilitating a focus group of current and past patients to work with the Health Department as it redesigns the island’s Assisted Reproduction Unit.
In a bid to expand its actions and support to local parents, ‘Tiny Seeds’ started a crowdfunding campaign to raise an initial £1,500 to fund the monthly support meetings as well as additional support-related events for those experiencing infertility and targeted campaigns.
Part of the funds will also go towards design and hosting fees for a website sharing appropriate advice, help and resources and the legal costs associated with registering Tiny Seeds as an established organisation.
The target was reached and smashed in just a few days with the total now standing a £2,020 following a generous donation of £500 from an anonymous islander who said their “miracle daughter” would soon turn 17.
