The Association of Jersey Architects is encouraging the public to join the ‘Greetings from Jersey’ event by creating a “postcard from the future” for an exhibition at Capital House.
The postcards will be displayed at ArtHouse Jersey’s exhibition space from 10 to 20 October as part of Architecture Week.
The goal is to inspire people to reflect on how architecture and design could shape Jersey’s future landscape and values.
Participants are asked to imagine what Jersey might look like in years to come.
They can decide how far into the future they want to go and what qualities the island might embody.
Islanders are urged to think creatively; will Jersey prioritise sustainability, embrace quirky changes, or become a haven for nature?
Event organiser and architect Tim Norman said: “What would stand out on a postcard carousel if you were visiting Jersey for the first time in the future?
“What story would it tell? Is the island bold, natural, or subtle?
“What message would you want to share?”
