Bigfoot is just one of the strange creatures featuring in a new exhibition by local artist Jacques Le Breton at Private & Public Gallery in St Helier.

Entitled ‘Paradigm Shift‘, the collection uses abstraction, pointillism and contemporary dreamscapes to bring viewers into an immersive alternate universe.

As well as Bigfoot, the exhibition also features aliens and Donald Trump as part of a collection of work created over a number of years.

Jacques’ unique impressionist style is taken from Hockney, Van Gogh and Seurat.

The Jersey-born artist “can’t wait” to see how people react to his work during the exhibition.

Speaking to Express ahead of the exhibition launch event on Friday 20 September, Jacques said: “I am super excited about the opening night.

“I’ve never shown any work like this before in Jersey and I can’t wait to see how it is received.

“Apparently it’s the maddest work Chris [Clifford, founder of Private & Public Gallery] has ever had in his gallery!”

The exhibition is open to view until Friday 11 October at Private & Public Gallery on Philips Street every weekday from 12:00 – 18:00, and on Saturday from 10:00 – 14:00.
