The current record for the largest display of illuminated Christmas trees consists of 797 trees, and was achieved in 2019 by Mason County in Shelton, Washington, USA.
The trees are in the park as part of the Christmas Tree Experience which allows participants to wander through hundreds of real pine trees covered in twinkling lights and to meet Santa and his elves.
Video: Bino Rodrigues, the event organiser for the Jersey Christmas Tree Experience, spoke with the government about his initiative.
It has returned this month after Jersey’s first-ever Christmas Tree Maze appeared at the Weighbridge last year.
The project reused wonky and imperfect Christmas trees from the UK that could not be sold and were set for shredding.
Once the experience closes its doors on Christmas Eve, the trees will not go to waste and will be donated to local farms and Jersey Zoo to feed animals
Organiser Bino Rodriguez said: “They’ll be making some island goats incredibly happy as they devour the pine and use their branches as makeshift obstacle courses.”
He also said that the trees can be collected by craftspeople and creatives to turn into woodwork designs.

Bino added: “There are plans to make next year’s experience even bigger and better.”
The Government also facilitated the distribution of over 500 tickets to allow those who might not otherwise be able to visit.
Tickets went to groups like Salvation Army, Brighter Futures, Autism Jersey, Jersey Mencap, Children and Families Hub, Caritas, Mont a l’Abbe School, Brightly, Young Carers and Happy Heroes.
