Deputy Bob Murray
Unsurprisingly, Deputy Murray will continue to lead on the Government Work Plan, a piece of work he was heavily involved with during his stint in the ‘old’ P&R.
Deputy Soulsby will be supporting Deputy Murray has he wrangles a new GWP into shape.
Meanwhile, Deputy Murray will also take the lead on all property matters, corporate services, and for the transformation of public services. He will also represent the Committee on the Electricity Strategy Working Group.
Deputy John Gollop
Deputy Gollop will lead the Douzaine Working Group and will represent P&R on the Children and Young People’s Board.
He will also be supporting Deputy Murray on the Prioritisation of Legislation Working Group, Deputy Le Tocq on the Re-Shaping Government Sub-Committee, and Deputy Soulsby on third-sector engagement.
A new cross-committee senior advisory role has also been developed for Deputy Gollop. He will be the first point of contact for other committees when they require political support or input.
Speaking on the new role, Deputy Gollop said:
“The Committee has a very broad and varied mandate, and I’m pleased to be able to make a contribution to so many areas of our work. I’m very passionate about the areas where I will be working, and look forward to engaging with the third sector, the parishes and with colleagues who are reviewing the structure of our government to identify how it can be improved.”
