The JSPCA has announced a new CEO, in a move that the charity’s president has said will help provide “stability” amid a “critical phase of change”.

Pam Aubert, whose previous roles include senior positions with Jersey Cancer Relief and Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey, will take up her new role on 12 May.

She will be taking over the helm from Tom Noel, who has served as Interim CEO for the past six months.

JSPCA president Ben Shenton said the charity was in “a critical phase of change”.

He continued: “I am most delighted that Pam will be leading from the front.

“The JSPCA can now look forward to stability, with effective change and strong leadership.”

Ms Aubert said she was “incredibly privileged” to be taking on the role, which will see her work alongside “a dedicated team of people who are committed and passionate about the charity’s purpose”.

Together, we will reconnect with our community, provide a voice for the animals in our care and create a sustainable and resilient future for the JSPCA

She added: “Together, we will reconnect with our community, provide a voice for the animals in our care and create a sustainable and resilient future for the JSPCA.”

Mr Noel said Ms Aubert brought “the right skill set”, as well as “deep compassion, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for helping charities thrive”.

He continued: “I have no doubt that she will lead the organisation with vision and dedication.

“Leading the JSPCA over the past six months has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

“I am now excited to support Pam as she transitions into her new role.”

Mr Noel noted that his journey with the JSPCA was not coming to end, adding that it was “just the beginning” as he hoped to continue contributing by standing for election to join the charity’s committee next month.

“I look forward to seeing the JSPCA continue to grow and thrive under Pam’s leadership,” he said.
