The root cause of a broadband outage that disrupted services in the east of the island earlier this week is still under investigation, according to JT.

The telecommunications provider confirmed that the issue occurred on Tuesday night and primarily affected customers in eastern parts of the island.

In a statement, a JT spokesperson said: “Our engineers worked hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and most customers were back online within a few hours.

“The root cause is still being reviewed, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

JT has advised customers who are still experiencing connectivity problems to reboot their router by switching it off for 10 to 15 minutes before turning it back on again.
