Members of the electoral college, comprising members of the Royal Court and the States Assembly, have until noon on Wednesday 3 May to submit nominations to the Bailiff.
If more than one candidate is nominated, the college will meet at 09:30 on Monday 15 May to elect Jurat Ramsden’s successor who would then be sworn in on Thursday 25 May at 11:30.
However, in the event that there is only one candidate, the swearing-in will take place on Monday 15 May at 11:30.
The retirement of Jurat Ramsden – who had served since October 2014 and was also appointed Lieutenant Bailiff in August 2021 – follows on from those of Jurats Collette Crill and Pam Pitman.
