On Friday, he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court where five charges spanning four areas in St. Ouen across 2016, 2017 and 2018 were read to him.
Four of the counts involved other animals.
The most recent charge involved his dog allegedly causing the death of a cat at an address along La Grande Route des Mielles on 31 July.

Between March and May last year, a dog in his possession was also claimed to have been “dangerously out of control” in St. Ouen, leading to the injury of two chickens, which later had to be put down.
The earliest charge dates back to between June and September 2016, when Advocate Begg’s dog is alleged to have caused “injury and distress” to another dog at Greve de Lecq.
The alleged offences fall under the Dogs (Jersey) Law 1961.
The advocate, who represented himself in the Magistrate’s Court, will reappear on 2 November.
