This year for the first time organisers encouraged runners to take part on an informal basis. Several ran the 12 km (7.5 miles) from Le Braye to L’Etacq and back again, including 11-year-old Daniel Kelly. Matthew Rault was the first to finish in 58 minutes.
Walkers and runners alike were rewarded with a medal, as well as bacon rolls and refreshments from Harpers Catering, thanks to sponsors Rathbones.
Philip Le Claire, Autism Jersey Director of Operations, said: “It was wonderful to see such an inclusive event, with our corporate partners walking alongside families, and people with autism. It’s the most successful walk for as long as we can remember.”
Matthew Sutton, Rathbones Client Director, said: “This was a wonderful event, enjoyed by all the adults and children who took part – and their dogs. I’m delighted that we have been able to help raise money for such a good cause.”
