A special set of stamps has been created to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Jersey’s Liberation.
Jersey Post will be issuing the ’80 Yrs Liberation’ stamps from its Rue de Pres branch and the Post & Go machine at its Broad Street office until Monday 12 May.
They will also be available for purchase online.
The stamps – which depict the Jersey flag – can be used on letters destined for the UK and around the world.

A dedicated display at the Broad Street post office will also depict what communication was like for civilians and postal workers from 1940 to 1945.
The St Helier postal branch remained in operation through the Occupation, albeit under intense surveillance.
A series of stories, pictures, original artwork and stamps from the five-year period will be showcased to commemorate the important role the Post Office played in maintaining civilian communications during that time.
Did you know?
Under German rule, a new postal entity appeared in Jersey in January 1941. The German Field Post Office 372 at 12–14 Beresford Street exclusively served the occupying forces. German soldiers received and sent mail through their own secure channels, bypassing local staff entirely.
