The long-awaited £1.9 million facility – which was originally scheduled to open last summer – has experienced a number of delays due to requests for design changes from groups who will use the arena, as well as supply chain issues and more recently bad weather.
Specialist builders Mind Work Ramps, a Latvian company, have been constructing the 2,000sqm park.
The skate park is due to open on Saturday afternoon, with an opening ceremony at 14:30.
