There are still just under two weeks to go, so the jackpot will certainly reach even higher, meaning someone’s about to have a very happy New Year.
The draw will take place on 20 December 2016, and all proceeds will go to local good causes.
Last year, the jackpot topped out at £1,161,750, with £100,000 second prize and £25,000 third prize – there were also 10 prizes of £1,000 available.
The current jackpot for this year, so far, stands at £1,003,000.
Each ticket costs two pounds, and has two numbers entered into the draw.
