Mark Christopher James Goodchild also admitted being drunk and disorderly, drugs possession and speeding.
He will now be sentenced on 20 March in the Royal Court.
Goodchild appeared there on Friday and his defence lawyer, Advocate Michael Haines, entered guilty pleas on his behalf to a total of four charges.
He admitted stealing a watch, electronic devices, car keys, cash and other items from a home on La Route de St. Aubin which he had illegally entered on 14 December.
He also pleaded guilty to one charge of being drunk and disorderly as well as two charges of drugs possession for cannabis resin and diazepam.
In addition, the 33-year-old man admitted driving over the limit on Burrard Street in April 2019, having been caught driving at 43mph in a 20mph zone.
His advocate asked for a psychological report to be prepared ahead of his sentencing.
In the meantime, Goodchild has been remanded in custody.
