Thomas Joseph Benjamin Rondel is currently in custody at La Moye and will remain there until his sentencing.

He is facing three counts of making indecent images of children under the age of 16 between 1 September 2016 and 24 June 2020.

In total, he was found to have made 16,152 images and movies, including 3,271 in the most serious category.

He was also found to have distributed indecent photographs online over the internet during the same period.

Represented by Advocate James Bell, Rondel entered guilty pleas to all four counts.

As a result, the Solicitor General Matthew Jowitt requested Rondel be sentenced before the Superior Number – a panel that only assembles for the most serious cases – on 11 February.

Advocate Bell requested that a psychological report be prepared ahead of that date.
