The collision was reported to have happened on St James Street in St Helier on Wednesday (20 December) at around 17:30.
Officers said in a statement: “The collision involved a silver VW car, and a pedestrian.
“The silver VW, driven by a 22-year-old man, was travelling past St. James Church, towards St. Saviour’s Road.
“The pedestrian, a 29-year-old man, was struck by the car outside the Bacchus Bar and sustained a fracture to his left ankle. He was taken to hospital for medical assessment and treatment.”
