At the end of October, islanders were invited to apply online for a free pack of 25 rapid covid tests. After each self-conducted test, islanders are asked to input their results into an online portal.
As of this afternoon, the total number of lateral flow test results submitted online since the home testing scheme’s launch was 15,122.
At least 207 of those tests returned positive results.
Government officials clarified, however, that the actual number of positives identified through the LFT home test programme may be even higher, as there could be “cases where islanders have gone straight to booking a PCR after getting a positive LFT result and not submitted their positive result online.”
There are currently 1,059 confirmed covid cases in Jersey – three of whom are in hospital and four in care homes.
Statistics update:
There are currently 3 active cases in hospital.
The number of active cases in the Island is 1059.
There have been 129 new cases and 83 recoveries since Thursday 18 November. For more COVID-19 figures, visit our website: https://t.co/Maitmwkwf2pic.twitter.com/dPwPrP45Vm
