Kelly Ann Callec, a mother of three, has been remanded in custody ahead of her sentencing date on 9 March.

Ms Callec pleaded guilty to one charge of fraud after she “criminally and fraudulently” presented thirty eight cheques between 30 April 2013 and 2 July 2015.

The court described the victim as a “vulnerable elderly lady” whom Ms Callec was in a position of trust with.

Advocate George Pearce, who is defending Ms Callec, made an application for bail but the Deputy Bailiff, Tim Le Cocq, sitting with Jurats Jerry Ramsden and Elizabeth Dulake, refused it.
