A 51-year-old motorcyclist was flown to Southampton Hospital last night after sustaining “serious” injuries in a collision with a car.
The incident took place just before 3pm on Tuesday 22 September at the junction of St Clements Road and La Route du Fort.
The 26-year-old male driver of the car involved has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving. He has since been released on bail amid ongoing investigations.
Police confirmed that the 51-year-old man driving the motorbike sustained “quite serious injuries” and was transported to Southampton Hospital.
Surrounding road sections were closed for a number of hours following the collision yesterday, leading to severe rush-hour disruption.
