On Monday 1 August, works will commence to install a pedestrian crossing on Janvrin Road (south), at the junction with Byron Lane.

The objective of the crossing is to provide a safer and more attractive walk towards Springfield Primary School.

The works consist of bollards and a crossing point with Belisha beacons.

One residential parking space will be lost due to the construction, so to accommodate this fewer permits have been issued in the St. Mark’s area.

According to the Parish of St. Helier, this means that more spaces are now available per permit than in previous years.

Brenwal is undertaking the works on behalf of the Parish, and traffic management plans will be shared in the near future, St. Helier officials said.
