In an email to customers and a post on their website, The Mansell Collection announced that it had ceased Mitsubishi and Hyundai car sales.

As well as the departure of the two brands, the car servicing and parts departments have also closed at The Mansell Collection.

However, the company has announced futures plans to use the space to instead develop and expand motorcycle sales, servicing, apparel and various franchises.

The notice on their website explained that “this has come about due to Mitsubishi’s departure from Europe and two years spent struggling with Covid-19 and a subsequent loss of sales”.

“Unfortunately, losing the brand had a knock-on effect with our second car brand, Hyundai,” they added.

The Mansell Collection wished Mitsubishi and Hyundai “all the best for the future with their new partner in Jersey”.

The Mansell Collection was opened in Jersey in 2012 by sportsman Nigel Mansell with his son, Leo.

Express contacted The Mansell Collection last week for further comment but is yet to receive a response.
