This year for the first time there will be operators from Denmark looking to do business with the Island as well as the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium and The Netherlands.
They will have 15 minute appointments throughout the day with 70 local tourism suppliers who will be selling Jersey to them.
Director of Jersey Tourism David de Carteret said: “It is a fantastic selling opportunity for trade business and following a year of detailed planning and promotion by the Tourism team, we have our key tourism partners eager to meet new contacts and develop existing relationships across a broad spectrum of local suppliers.
“The workshop sessions will provide over 1,000 face-to-face sales meetings. The social programme which takes place over three days has also been designed to maximise individual networking opportunities.
The long range weather forecast is very good and this should encourage some alfresco activity at the excellent venues which have been chosen at Elizabeth Marina and St. Brelade’s Bay.
“We have always enjoyed very good support from the travel trade for this event and with a positive outlook for the season ahead, we can open new distribution channels, particularly from the emerging European source markets.”
Jersey Tourism have also organised “Discovery Days” for the operators who will get to try jet skiing, sea kayaking, coasteering, paddle boarding and surfing. They will get the opportunity to visit Jersey’s New Wetlands Centre, Durrell, Grantez and Jersey Dairy.
