A recent technical issue affecting islanders using the online tax return system has now been resolved.

The problem impacted customers who chose to save their tax return and log back in later to complete it.

When they returned to the system, their previously saved information was not visible.

The government confirmed that its technical partners identified the root cause and completed a fix, which has now been fully tested and successfully deployed.

Islanders were still able to complete and submit their tax returns in one sitting throughout the disruption, with more than 7,000 online returns filed by mid-February.

Revenue Jersey said: “We encourage islanders to file their return early, as doing so helps ensure that their ITIS rate is reviewed in good time and correctly adjusted for the year ahead.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank islanders for their patience while this issue was resolved.”
