The plans, submitted by Jersey Property Holdings, outline converting the existing public toilets into four self-contained unisex cubicles.

If approved, the new toilet block would feature an ambulant cubicle with baby change and stoma facilities as well as a disabled access cubicle.

A dedicated stoma shelf and high level mirror would also be installed in the ambulant cubicle for stoma wearers.

The existing lift shaft would be converted into a separate larger hygiene room with another toilet and sink.

A covered walkway is also proposed to connect the six units.

One member of the public has submitted a response to the plans.

They welcomed the planned baby change cubicle, but said the planned space looks “too small” for a pram, meaning parents would have to leave it outside the building.
