Sprayed in blue and yellow paint, the vandalism featured graphic imagery, explicit language, and apparent references to rap culture and skating.
Police say they are conducting investigations – including forensic tests on a can left at the scene – into who was responsible. While they are yet to conclude who was behind the markings, it is believed that the daubing may have been left by partygoers after barbecue litter was also sighted.

Meanwhile, Ports of Jersey, who began efforts to remove the markings yesterday afternoon, have been praised by Mr Kinsella. “Great to see such a quick response to clean up the graffiti mess at the pier,” he said on social media.
Another Facebooker added: “Great job lads, I spent a lot of my childhood fishing from and around that pier and it’s a very special place for me.”

As Police enquiries continue, islanders with any information that will lead to identifying those responsible for the graffiti are urged to call Jersey Police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
