Cayleigh Manson (24) was convicted of a grave and criminal assault on 26th June 2017. She was given a 12-month probation order, 100 hours of community service and ordered to pay £300 in compensation to the victim.
But Miss Manson was back in the Magistrate’s Court today for breaching her probation order on 26th January 2018 – the second time she has breached the order.
Defending, Advocate Lauren Glynn said Miss Manson “admits the breach” and that she “does wish to complete the order.”
Assistant Magistrate Peter Harris told Miss Manson that he recognises that she has completed almost half of her community service but said: “It is with a heavy heart that I must impose a custodial sentence, revoking the community service order.”
Manson has been sentenced to six weeks in prison which Assistant Magistrate Harris said would give her “…a clean slate.”
