The court was told that the teenager, who cannot be named due to his age, had been put on probation last year after a string of offences.
But he had failed to turn up for appointments and had been verbally abusive to a probation officer when he was there.
Assistant Magistrate Peter Harris told him: “To be actively offensive towards a lady that is trying to help you is just not acceptable, it’s as simple as that.”
He decided to revoke the order, saying: “Probation hasn’t been a success.”
The Assistant Magistrate imposed no alternative punishment.
