Bailiwick Express and the JEP first asked whether Caroline Landon and Rose Naylor had left their posts last week.
At 16:00 yesterday, the government issued a statement – embargoed until 16:15 – confirming that the two senior officials had informed the Health Minister of their intention to leave their positions on 31 March.
Both media asked the government a series of questions regarding the departures, but were told there would not be a response until interim arrangements had been put in place.
Those questions were:
-
On what date did Caroline Landon and Rose Naylor inform the Health Minister of their intention to resign? On what date were resignation letter(s) received?
-
What notice period did Caroline Landon and Rose Naylor have? Has the government agreed to shorten this?
-
Are both currently at work? Will the pair be working until the end of the month?
-
Have either received severance payments in relation to their departure? If so, please state the value of these.
-
When will interim arrangements be confirmed?
-
Were Ms Landon and Ms Naylor’s departures linked to the recent investigation into bullying within the health service? Will the government make a copy of the resulting report public?
