Connaught Care has appointed a new member to their board to oversee care support.

Clare Arnold brings with her a wealth of medical project management. After completing a degree at the Open University in Health Services, she has worked at Queens Road Medical Practice where, alongside being a Health Care Assistant, she was its Head of Health Management.

Recently, she was a Project Manager for Health and Social Care where she helped to develop the Electronic Patient Record system among other projects across the islands.

She also has experience being a Director of SafetyNet Guernsey, a charity that works on projects to improve people’s safety in nightlife settings.

Mrs Arnold said she is “delighted” by her new appointment: “I am passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care support.

“I look forward to working with colleagues, residents, members of the community and their families as we continue to build on the Connaught’s strong reputation and further enhance the services we provide.”

Connaught Care are a charity who provide affordable care to senior residents in Alderney and a care home on the island.

The addition of Mrs Arnold bolsters the board to two executive directors and three non-executive directors.

Judy Craske, Chair, said: “Clare is passionate about the Connaught’s work as one of the largest care homes in the Bailiwick, along with our domiciliary care programme.

“We are delighted to welcome her on board.”
