PD Achilles “was a great asset to SoJP and a wonderful dog who we’ll all miss,” the States of Jersey Police said this evening.
Sad news today after hearing that retired Police Dog Achilles has passed away. He had enjoyed his retirement after moving to the UK with his handler several years ago. He was a great asset to SoJP and a wonderful dog who we’ll all miss. Condolences to Ritchie and family. ???????????? pic.twitter.com/hcvI0avZ4N

Achilles had joined the States police in 2012 and undergone training in Surrey.
PC Richie Vinen handled and took care of PD Achilles.
When PC Vinen moved to a force in the UK in 2018, PD Achilles retired and moved with him.
