One of Jersey’s best-loved summer events will return to Havre des Pas next month, organisers have confirmed.

The dates for this year’s Havre des Pas Seaside Festival have been confirmed as 25 and 26 July, with organisers promising a weekend of entertainment at the historic bathing pool.

The announcement was made at a recent meeting of the Havre des Pas Improvement Group, where Lido operator Jason Maindonald also revealed that the entire site has now been brought under a premises licence.

The move means the licence now covers the whole Lido site, including the promenade linking the venue to the road, rather than just the building itself.

Mr Maindonald said the change would give operators additional powers to tackle anti-social behaviour, including under-age drinking and disorderly conduct.

“It also means that people can be legally excluded from where the promenade meets the road,” he said.

Mr Maindonald also confirmed that the Lido’s sluice gates will be opened from 13 July for three days to help clean the pool ahead of the festival weekend.

While the new licence technically means alcohol cannot be brought onto the site, he said people enjoying a drink responsibly would not be asked to leave.

Signage explaining the site’s alcohol policy is expected to be installed shortly.

Last year’s Havre des Pas festival included three music areas, an inflatable obstacle course, a human foosball zone, and food and drinks stalls.

Entry to the festival – which was open until 22:00 on the Saturday and 21:00 on the Sunday in 2025 – was £3 per day or £5 for a weekend band last year, with free entry for children under 10. Details of this year’s timings and prices are yet to be confirmed.
