Benjamin William Patron appeared before the Deputy Bailiff, Tim Le Cocq QC, in the Royal Court on Friday, accused of 11 counts of breaching the sex offender restrictions put on him following a previous assault on a young teenage girl.

Crown Advocate Richard Pedley accused Mr Patron of breaching his restrictions on a number of occasions by being around children under the age of 16, and for not removing himself as soon as reasonably possible at a number of locations in St. Helier, including a flat at La Collette and Snow Hill car park, on three consecutive days in April 2018.

Advocate James Bell, defending Mr Patron, put forward a guilty plea for five of the 11 counts, including one where the 20-year-old is accused of breaching his sex offender order by being in the company of a 13-year-old girl in a flat.

Mr Patron has been remanded in custody and will reappear before the Royal Court on 23 May 2018.
