Mr Nuthall beat Great Britain International David Armstrong, who finished second and third-placed Jersey Commonwealth Games representative Barry Le Cheminant.
Mr Le Cheminant won the Jersey VIII with Bruce Horwood second.The five-day event attracted over 50 entries with half the field from the UK, including shooters from the London and Middlesex Rifle Association, the Old Guildfordian’s RIfle Club, the County of Lancaster, Old Epsomian’s Rifle Club and Guernsey.
Yesterday’s team match between Jersey and the British Lions saw the locals, pictured below, score a fantastic 1,175 out of 1,200 to win the match by 10 points. Max Willing was Jersey’s top scorer with 149.23 including a perfect 50.10 at 500 yards.
The UK cadets beat the CI Cadets by 19 points.
Both matches were broadcast live over the internet and this is believed to be the first time in the world that viewers have been able to watch both live plots and score sheets simultaneously. See shootingresults.org
