Islanders will be able to spend up to six hours in France on day trips this summer under new timetable improvements announced by DFDS.
The operator says it has agreed enhanced schedules with port authorities in St Malo, giving day-trippers from Jersey longer ashore while also improving travel times for French visitors heading to the island.
The changes mean more than double the number of day-trip opportunities compared with last year.
Between May and September, there will be 90 days offering over five hours in St Malo – up from 37 in 2025.
Most fares will also include the option to stay overnight and return the next day at no extra cost, according to DFDS.
The announcement comes as several vessels return to service ahead of the summer period.
The Tarifa Jet resumed St Malo sailings on 1 May, while the Levante Jet is restarting passenger services to Poole.
Freight capacity has also been boosted with the return of the Caesarea Trader.
