Drivers won’t be able to park in the open ground-floor area of Green Street car park from 9 pm tonight.
Work on the new Police Headquarters is being carried out by local company, Rok-Regal Construction and will include extending the third floor of the car park to create 64 new spaces.
When the extension is finished the multi-storey will have 673 spaces but in the meantime drivers will have to find a space elsewhere if they can’t get parked in any of the indoor spaces on the ground floor.
The work should be finished by the end of 2016.
