As a fire engine made its way to the blaze, a further 999 call was received – this time from the farm’s residents who said they were awoken by the noise of the inferno destroying a storage shed.
Another fire engine was sent down from the Western Fire Station after this call, crewed by an on-call rescue team.

Crews were forced to work using breathing apparatus as they started their mission to extinguish the flames.
However, with few water supplies in the area, the service’s water carrier had to be called for.
In total, it took two-and-a-half hours to put out the fire and complete the damping down process.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation, Watch Commander Andy Gallie has confirmed.
