Jersey Met say the UV is getting stronger even though it will be feeling quite cool next week.

Duty Forecaster Peter Munns said: “On Bank Holiday Monday we can expect winds from a north, north-west direction, light to moderate so it’ll be fair to cloudy with some sunny intervals, max of 16, so if you are sitting in a sheltered spot it could feel very nice indeed.”

“A max of 15 on Tuesday, three degrees below average – we’re unlikely to get ‘above’ temperatures, it should be relatively dry with a mix of sunshine and cloud, that covers the bulk of next week.

“The UV is regularly getting to about 6 – that’s the ‘let’s take care category’ and could touch into 7 so take care out in the sun.”
