It comes as wind speeds of 57 knots and wave heights of 3.5m are predicted in the Channel Islands’ area tomorrow, with Condor saying the conditions were “outside safe berthing limits.”
It added that further disruption to services is anticipated to both passenger and freight services over the weekend until the storm has passed through the islands early next week.

Condor’s cancellations come as Jersey Coastguard has warned boat owners to “check their moorings to ensure they are safe and secure”, marking out south and east coast areas such as La Rocque and Gorey as particularly vulnerable.
Continuing, the Coastguard said that watersports equipment like dinghies and kayaks stored near coastlines should be kept securely and clearly marked with owners’ contact details.
They also warned people against getting too close to the shoreline during high tides.
